Guided Tour of the Falls

It is hard to believe. Six hundred and fifty million litres of water from the Zambezi River crushes with great aplomb into the chasm below, which is of course why the locals call Victoria Falls, Mosi- oa-Tunya, the smoke that thunders. The smoke is the permanent mist, spray, even rain, which hangs over the Falls and the surrounding forest….and the thunder? You will hear it for yourself. The force and power of the falls almost defies belief. We visit the falls from the Zambian side,and when it is in full flow,you will experience the showers from the crushing falls below. Raincoats needed!
Please Note: The falls on the Zambian side may dry out seasonally (Sep-Dec).During this time we recommend you view the Falls on the Zimbabwean side. We also offer a combination tour which takes you to both the Zambian and Zimbabwean side of the falls.
Most travellers, after viewing Victoria Falls from both sides, love the Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls more – they all say the views are more spectacular and the forest is more vibrant! Of the many things to see and do in this beautiful area, we recommend the following activities: white water rafting, bungee jumping, canoeing, abseiling, river boarding, horseback riding, tandem kayaking, micro lighting, jet boating, river safaris and elephant back rides. Regarded as the worlds greatest white water rafting adventure,rafting down the mighty Zambezi is an experience like
none other. Our guides are the best qualified and most experienced on the river.The River in the gorges below the Victoria Falls is classified as a GRADE 5 river. The official definition of a GRADE 5 river, as defined by the official book of the British Canoe Union, is as follows: “Extremely difficult, long and violent rapids, steep gradients, big drops, pressure areas.”
This is the biggest commercially run white water in the world. We portage around rapid No 9 which is classified Grade 6 – unrunable. There is a walk of about 70 metres vertical, into and out of the gorge.

Calling all brave hearts! This one is not for the faint-hearted, but its heaven for adrenaline thrill seekers. We have taken the excitement of river boarding and the thrill of river rafting and put them together to provide an insane day of adventure. Wild and exciting this combo combines rapids which can be surfed on the river board and other which have to ridden in a raft. Enough adrenaline for? Not really you are going to be surfing the Zambezi river below the falls on a board(accompanied by an expert) and if tales are to be believed ,life is going to be awful tame after this…

The microlight has an open cockpit for the ultimate adrenaline ride!, Microlights have a unique wing-mounted camera which enables clients to capture this exciting experience on film. There are restrictions that apply on the microlight – a minimum age of six years and maximum mass of 100kg. Flight duration ranges from 15 minutes which offers stunning views of Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River; to a 30 minute flight which goes down stream over the Batoka Gorge or upstream over the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park providing an excellent game spotting opportunity.

Quad bikes can go where other forms of transport cant…..which makes them fun and versatile means of game spotting in the African bush. We set off on our leisure pace on our safe quad bikes-no experience needed-to discover the spectacular landscape and wildlife surrounding the Livingstone and Batoka gorge. Our qualified guide is with us all the way ,both to supervise and advise on the quad bike riding ,as well as guiding us finest vantage points. It is an adventurous ride and its huge fun too! Great for teenagers.

For those who enjoy the mad rush of adrenaline, will a 111 metre bunji jump into the Zambezi fit your bill? We assure you it is an entirely safe environment but thrilling in the extreme. You will take the plunge into the Batoka Gorge, with the Zambezi rushing up to meet you, only to stop 10metres short of the water .You are given the choice of a single jump alone or tandem with a partner. It is exhilarating, and as with any professional organisation, you will be given a comprehensive safety briefing prior to the jump, and are assisted back to the bridge with the help of crew. A career highlight for any bungi jumper.
Sunset Cruise
